Apple is working on a major update to its Health app, incorporating an AI-driven coach designed to help users improve their well-being, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Gurman previously hinted at this development in 2023, but now reports that progress is accelerating. The new features could debut as early as spring or summer 2026, coinciding with the release of iOS 19.4.
The AI coach will analyze data from users’ medical devices and is expected to introduce food tracking capabilities. Apple is currently training the system with input from its in-house physicians and is looking to expand its team by bringing in additional medical experts to create health-focused video content.
Internally, Apple is referring to this upcoming service as “Health+,” though the name may evolve before its official launch.
