Apple’s New Intelligence Features Set to Launch on October 28

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is gearing up to release its first wave of Apple Intelligence features on October 28. Last month, Apple hinted at an October launch for iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, which will introduce these exciting updates to the iPhone 16 and other Apple devices, though no specific date was confirmed at the time.

The initial rollout will include key tools like “Writing Tools,” a text editor and summarization feature, as well as advanced smart audio recording and transcription capabilities for apps such as Mail, Notes, Pages, and more.

Additionally, the Photos app will likely get the new “Memories” feature, designed to simplify movie creation using images from your gallery. The “Clean Up” tool, which removes unwanted objects from image backgrounds, is also expected to be part of this update. Features like ChatGPT integration and “Genmoji” are anticipated to be included in future updates of iOS 18, expected to roll out through late 2024 and into early 2025.
