“Death Clock” App Predicts Your Death Date and Offers Tips to Live Longer

A new app, Death Clock, uses advanced AI to predict when you might die and suggests ways to potentially extend your life.

The concept of a death clock isn’t entirely new. However, developer Brent Franson told Bloomberg that this iteration leverages artificial intelligence trained on over 1,200 life expectancy studies, making it a “pretty significant” improvement over traditional life expectancy calculators.

The app starts with basic questions about your age and gender, then dives deeper into factors like family history, mental health, and chronic conditions.

For an annual subscription fee of $40, Death Clock not only provides personalized advice to improve your habits but also includes a real-time countdown clock to your estimated death date.

While the app’s death prediction may seem like a gimmick meant to spark conversations online, it has more practical applications as well. Financial planner Ryan Zabrowski told Bloomberg that accurate life expectancy estimates could be invaluable for retirement planning. “A huge concern for retirees is outliving their money,” he said. Knowing how long you might live can make a big difference in managing resources for the future.

With its mix of predictive technology and practical advice, Death Clock turns the grim concept of mortality into a tool for planning and self-improvement.
